Grill Games Prize Money Awarded
The KACVB Grill Games team brought home another trophy in August after winning the
Community Grilling Competition
, along with $600 in prize money. The funds were recently donated to the Kenosha HarborMarket's "Market Moola" program which provides matching funds to SNAP/EBT users at the market each week for fresh produce and nutritious foods. Since the market has been recruiting community support for this effort and the prize money was from a food-themed event, the team decided that this was a wonderful use for the funds. Learn more about Market Moola here.

The Walking Tourists bloggers who visited last May have posted another travel story on the Kenosha Area.
Meanwhile, looking ahead this year, KACVB team members will be attending the Women in Travel Summit in Milwaukee in April. WITS is the premier event for women travel influencers and industry members, organized by Wanderful (an international community of women who travel). To take advantage of the conference being in such close proximity to us, we'll be offering a pre-conference press trip for attendees. The goal is to introduce more travel bloggers and writers to Kenosha, who will then share their great experience with their followers. We'll share more details as the date approaches.
