Register Today for Tourism Talks Breakfast
Our next Tourism Talks Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, Nov 8. All employees at Tourism Partner businesses are welcome to attend this free event, which will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Parkway Chateau at Brat Stop (12304 75th Street). This session will be a Tourism Partner Showcase, facilitated by KACVB staff and YOU! It's designed to help Tourism Partners get to know each other a little better, and to foster better collaboration. Partners have signed up to present to the group regarding their organization's goals, upcoming projects, and ideas for collaboration. There's still time to register to attend: contact Laura today.

Offer a coupon
Coupons/Military Discounts/Packages
Get added exposure and increase traffic to your business by offering visitors coupons for extra savings on your product and services! Just provide Meridith with the details of your offer and we'll take care of posting the coupon on VisitKenosha.com. Perhaps you already offer a coupon on your own; just provide us with the details so we can help promote the same offer! If you offer a military discount, please make sure we know that too! Also, consider partnering with fellow Tourism Partners to create packages. Packages that combine hotel accommodations with meals, an activity or attraction, shopping gift cards or other products and services offer travelers convenience and greater perceived value. To post an overnight travel package at no cost on VisitKenosha.com, please contact Meridith.

Petrifying Springs Park
Reforestation Project at "Pets"
Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser has announced the award of $98,757 by the U.S. Forest Service to reforest 317 trees within Petrifying Springs Park and Golf Course. The funds were awarded to support local environmental restoration projects across six states. The grants are part of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, a cooperative effort between federal, tribal, state and local partners. "This grant will greatly aid our efforts to properly reforest our park and golf course following the impacts of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) infestation, and will go a long way in protecting the Pike River Watershed," Kreuser stated in a release. More>
Mike_s Chicken _ Donut Bar
Featured Business: Mike's Chicken & Donut Bar
You see the pink boxes walking down the street in Downtown Kenosha - and you know they are in the hands of happy customers who just came from Mike's Donuts & Chicken. Inside those boxes are glazed donuts, cake donuts, specialty donuts, maple bacon praline long johns. All are oversized - baked fresh that day - with homemade, wild, crazy, delicious, and unique toppings and fillings. Combine those donuts with chicken and you have Mike's Donuts & Chicken and Mike's Chicken & Donut Bar - two one-of-a-kind businesses under the same roof at 707 56th Street. More>
