We are half way through the first quarter of 2014 and weather forecasters are saying this winter is one of the worst in 25 to 30 years as far as bone chilling temperatures and mountains of snow. Economic forecasters are already bemoaning a chilly 1st quarter, not necessarily in temperature but in sales. If your company depends upon our transportation system to get your raw materials to your facility, you may have run into delays. Retailers are seeing business significantly down in areas hit hardest by the "polar vortex." Does this mean with the arrival of spring we can expect manufacturing and sales to pick up or have we gotten so far behind the eight ball, we won't see any significant upswing to our economy until 3rd or 4th quarter?

The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) is now accepting nominations to honor worthy law enforcement officers and organizations with several prestigious awards:
- The John Kolman Award of Excellence
- NTOA Award of Valor
- NTOA TEMS Award
- NTOA Unit Citation for Valor
- Spirit of NTOA Award
The awards are for incidents occurring between June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014. Nominations for each award submitted to the NTOA must be for active members of NTOA (with the exception of the Spirit of NTOA award). The deadline for submitting nominations is July 1st, 2014.
Awards will be presented at NTOA's annual Tactical Operations Conference Awards banquet to be held in Mobile, Alabama on Thursday, September 26th, 2014. Recipients are gifted with a plaque and their name and agency is published in The Tactical Edge.

Request for Feedback: A Woman's Perspective on the "Pink Gun"

On behalf of MG Industries, we have written this request to get the female insight and perspective about "the pink gun" issue and is this something women really want.
At SHOT Show, MG Industries unveiled the Muddy Girl Camo Pattern (a custom painted pink and purple camouflage version) for the MGI HYDRA Marck-15. It proved to be an eye catcher at their booth, but what they're looking to know is if this look is something that women will want to actually own.
We hope you will take a moment to look at the image and offer us your honest feedback in the comments section below. What do you think? Is this something you as a female would want in your arsenal? Would it increase a female's likelihood to buy one of MG Industries' firearms?
