We are sorry to have not communicated with you for some time.  The foundation has been busy working on a new robust website that offers in-depth information about lupus, opportunities to share your experiences to help others and up to date information regarding upcoming events.  

In addition to our site, we have also launched a new book/materials scholarship program for college students with lupus.  Next week, we will introduce our first recipient--keep an eye out for his touching story.  He is an inspirational young man. 

A big thank you to everyone who has supported LI every step of the way.  Last week, we hosted the 2nd Annual Evening with Bill Medley event and it was a huge success!  It was wonderful seeing old friends and meeting new friendly guests.  

Also, a reminder to mark your calendars for the upcoming Lupus Race for Life on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at La Mirada Regional Park, in La Mirada, California.  This marks our 12th year.  To sign up and/or to start your fundraising team please click here Lupus Race for Life Registration.  These proceeds will also contribute to the growing need for students to have adequate school supplies for all age school children, continue our commitment to funding research--most recently we contributed to Dr. Chaim Jacob, at the University of Southern California, current T-cell study and it will assist us in contributing to pediatric lupus research fellowships.
