As promised, April was an exciting and busy month at Madison Heights! We enjoyed outings to see Grease on the big screen and a trip to Tranquility Stables. Our residents enjoyed a traditional Master's lunch of pimento cheese sandwiches & Arnold Palmers to drink. We hosted an Easter egg hunt at the close of March and prepared for a fun luau to close our April. We loved seeing so many smiles from our residents as well as their family members.
We are looking forward to more fun this spring as the weather continues to invite us to the outdoors. We will be going to the Barn at Saddlebrook,
Reed Creek and a picnic to the lake. When we need to escape the heat, we will spoil ourselves with some meals around town, visit t
he Morris Museum of Art, paint at Artsy Me, take another trip to the theater to see Sunset Boulevard and indulge in some refreshing frozen yogurt.
This month will also be our first month of welcoming Tabatha Tillman, certified music therapist and Della Williams, instructor of Toe Tappin' Rhythm. We are hoping that both of these music centered programs will bring smiles to the faces of our residents as they participate and reminisce about music from their past and intertwine it with their current abilities as we center these musical programs around the residents loves and desires. We are also welcoming Kamesha from the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System who will be starting an Audio Book Club at Madison Heights this month.
