It appears that spring is upon us! In the coming weeks we will be busy filling bird feeders, planting flowers and watering seeds. We also enjoy the sunshine by spending time outside exercising and memory sharing. One of our favorite things to do during this season is to enjoy a myriad of outdoor outings around Augusta. Soon we will be strawberry picking, enjoying picnics at the lake, visiting a horse stable and going to various parks around Augusta.

Later this month we will be hosting our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Please round up the grandkids and come visit for a fun afternoon of egg hunting and activities. Our residents enjoying stuffing the eggs and find an even greater joy in watching the children hunt for the eggs!

We look forward to a fun and busy spring and hope to see you soon.

Support Group
A support group led by a Madison Heights staff member meets the third Thursday of each month at 2:00 at the Alzheimer's Association. If this date or time is not convenient for you contact Beth at the Alzheimer's Association at (706) 860-4599 for information on additional support groups.

All family members or caregivers of someone with a dementia diagnosis are welcome to attend. Don't forget to invite others who you think would benefit from additional support.

At Madison Heights we are always striving to find new and better ways to get the word out to the people in the Augusta/Evans and surrounding areas about our wonderful community for Seniors that suffer from Alzheimer's! Please take a moment to fill out our survey for a chance to win a $250 visa gift card or $500 towards a move in credit. Everyone over 18 is eligible to participate. Friendly Reminders
If you notice an associate going above and beyond their normal job duties please notify Christen at [email protected] so that that they can be recognized with a Madison Heights Champion award.

As the weather changes and germs and illnesses are more rampant; we ask that for the safety and wellness of our residents you please not visit if you are feeling ill or have been sick or shown any symptoms of sickness in the past 24 hours.

We would appreciate your help in making sure that all important documents and bills are being sent to the responsible party, and not Madison Heights.

Doctor Visits
If you would like to switch to our in-house physician, Doctor Naseem, please see Christen to fill out a consent form.  

Dental Visits
Dr. Spicer will be visiting on Wednesday, March 14. To schedule for your loved one to be seen by our in house dentist contact Christen to fill out the proper paperwork.
 
Podiatry Visits
The podiatrist will be visiting Madison Heights every other month. His next visit will be on Thursd ay, April 19. To make an appointment for your family member, contact Christen.
 
Medical Reminders
The Madison Heights vehicle will be available on Tuesdays to help assist residents to medical appointments. Please speak with Christen at least two weeks in advance if you would like to utilize this service to ensure that the vehicle is available during your requested appointment time.

Betty has always taken pride in her appearance and enjoys manicures, getting her hair done and being pampered in any way.
Associate of the Month
Congratulations to Agnes for being chosen as Associate of the Month! Agnes was chosen because she is friendly, outgoing, hard working and dedicated to the residents. She greets guests when they walk through the door and is dedicated to her position of a CMA. She has the best interest in mind for the residents at all times and loves to brighten their day through our life enrichment program.

Agnes says that her favorite part of working at Madison Heights is everything but if she had to choose something it would be doing activities with residents.
