WebSuite v1.1 - Newest Features
With the release of WebSuite v1.1, we've added several great features to enhance your signage and add more value to software. The top newest features are:
Server Publish (Pull Method) - Composer can now publish content to the server, instead of the Player, and let the Player synchronize that content. Players will check in with the server on a user defined interval. When content is published by Composer, the Player will synchronize only the new content. This allows the player to be behind a firewall and the computer accessing Composer to be anywhere in the world. Content Playlists - Now you can create multiple content playlists that include page content and overlay crawl region content. Before, every region came with one playlist by default and that was all you got. With these additional playlists, you can now assign which ones go to which players. The "Master" playlists, or the one that comes with the region by default, must be published. The playlists will play in the order that they were created. No reordering can occur at this time. The Playlist assignment occurs in the Player Manger where you assign a project to a Player.
Special Permissions - Project and Playlist can have special permissions that only apply to a group of users and to the specific Project or Playlist. Permissions can be one of four settings: None, View Only, Edit (which includes View), and Full Access (which includes View, Edit, and Delete). These permission settings, also known as the security level, can control access to the Project or Playlist for one or many groups of users. The security level can be set differently for each group allowing you to control which users get what type of access to each Playlist or Project.
