Dear Friends,
 
We are thrilled to announce our participation in the inaugural Opera in October! We are joining forces with the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center of the Arts and the Florentine Opera Company to bring a month of opera performances to the area.   Our annual auditions will be center stage at the Wilson Center on October 15th, along wit h Sister Carrie (world premiere) at the Florentine Opera on October 7 & 9, and An Afternoon with Alyson Cambridge (former MONC Grand Finals winner) presented by the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center on October 16th.  Complete details for these events can be found at:

Steven Ebel (District Winner 2008)       
 
Steven starts the 16/17 season at Theater Mainz where he recently joined the ensemble.

Steven has a very exciting season ahead with a return to the USA in Jacksonville, FL as Gerontius and will give master classes at his alamater (UW-Madison), a recital of his own works in London and role debuts of Max & Erik in Germany with his Concertabow debut in Amsterdam - more here:

Alisa Jordheim (District Winner 2011 and 2012)
          
 
Alisa will be the soprano soloist in Michael Torke's Four Proverbs with Present Music on Saturday, September 3, at 7:30 PM at the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts.

She will also sing the role of Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Edo de Waart and directed by Robin Guarino. Performances are in Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, September 17, at 7:00 PM; Sunday, September 18, at 2:00 PM; Tuesday, September 20, at 7:00 PM.

Angela Mortellaro (District Winner 2004, Regional Encouragement Award)
          
 
Angela will sing Juliette in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette with the Minnesota Opera.

Performances are September 24, 27, 29 and October 1 and 2.

Jamie Van Eyck (District Winner 2008)       
 
Jamie sings the role of Rosie Chayney in Kevin Puts' opera, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, with Austin Opera on September 17.

Nicholas Ward (Encouragement Award and Florentine Opera Recital Award 2014)       
 
Baritone Nicholas Ward returns to Florida Grand Opera this season for a second year in the company's Young Artist Program. He will appear on the main stage as Moralès in Carmen and Silvano in Un Ballo in Maschera.
