NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR AT-LARGE MIDTOWN BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITIONS

 

From our by-laws:

 

2.06 Election of At Large Voting Members of the Board.

A. Four (4) at large voting members of the Board of Directors shall be

elected each year at a public meeting held in the Fall open to all persons in the Midtown Community Benefits District who are eligible voters, one (1) from each of the four (4) sectors described in subsection C below. In order to be eligible for election as an at large voting member of the Board of Directors, an individual must be an eligible voter ... who resides in, owns taxable property in, or is a representative of a taxable property owner in the sector within the District which such individual seeks to represent.

 

B. The Board of Directors shall solicit written nominations for the four (4) at-large voting members of the Board of Directors. At the Fall Public Meeting, the Board of Directors shall present to those eligible voters in attendance the nominees for each sector within the District. Nominations may also be made from the floor of the meeting of any person eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors, which eligibility shall have been established, prior to the commencement of the meeting, to the satisfaction of the officer of the Board of Directors presiding at the meeting.

 

Anyone who wishes to be a nominee as described above may send a letter of intent along with a brief biography or position statement by September 23 for publication prior to the Fall Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Nominations should be mailed to Nominations, Midtown Community Benefits District, 1221 N. Calvert St., Baltimore, MD, or send electronically to PMerles@Midtowncommunity.org.

 

 

 

 

MT VERNON PARKING PERMITS

 

Current Area 28 parking permits expire on September 30, 2011.  You can start renewing on-line beginning Aug 20th on-line

OR visit the RPP offices at 200 West Lombard Street, Suite B. However, permits must be picked up at one of the neighborhood pick-up sessions listed below.  Permits can be picked up at the RPP offices after September 20.  Apply on-line by September 23.  New residents must apply in person after September 27 at the RPP office. Note that the RPP office does not accept cash for the purchase of permits.  See documentation requirements below or complete requirements on-line.  For further info, call the RPP office at 443-573-2800.

 

PICKUP PERMITS at one of three Mt. Vernon Belvedere Association sponsored pick up sites! Only pre-paid permits can be picked up. No applications will be accepted. MVBA can be reached at 410-528-1919 or e-mail at parking@mvba.org.

 

PICKUP SESSIONS:     Thursday, September 15    5:30pm - 8pm

                                    Thursday, September 22    5:30pm - 8pm
