Greetings!
Greetings fellow KIMMIE! I am so amazed and excited about the creativity, engagement and growth of NWLB Keep It Moving! We are here to empower, inspire, motivate & support YOU and ALL women to employ and maintain a healthy lifestyle via physical activity and nutritional education!
NWLB.KIM aims to create an environment where ALL women feel supported in their fitness goals.
This marks our 2nd Newsletter reaching out first to all those who have registered with us and then to the Inter-galactic Universe to reach anyone who might be interested in knowing about our movement!
In just two months our participants have grown into the thousands! [Insert Applause!] We have been able to setup 46+ events in a multitude of locations ranging from Gwinnett County all the way to Savannah and now we're extending BEYOND the Georgia borders!
We are running, jogging, walking, skating, dancing, biking, hiking, spinning, cross training and MORE.
~ But what TRULY matters is that we're having a quantifiable, positive IMPACT on women's lives (both young and old)! We're networking, forging new friendships, strengthening existing relationships, doing community outreach and above all else - extending our LIVES!
That's really the goal of NWLB Keep It Moving - to change lives! We're on a mission to Keep It Moving and hopefully inspire other women to do the SAME!!
So what are you waiting for? Be sure to check out all of our Upcoming Events listed below! There is nothing to do - but do it!

Our Group Lead Advocates also known as "GLAs" are some of the most beautiful, creative, motivating, inspiring, talented and determined women you will EVER come in contact with!
But guess what? They are JUST LIKE YOU!
These women have families, careers and other hobbies & interests that FILL their schedules! However, they have that special something that draws them to give of their time and give back to others! They not only care about their health & wellness, they extend a hand to their fellow sisters to bring them along on this fantastic voyage! It is ONLY because of the GLAs who volunteer their time and service that any of this is possible!
Since our last Newsletter, we have on-boarded dozens of new GLAs and set-up many MORE activities/events for all our KIMMIEs. Check out the new activities in the pipeline:
If you haven't experienced one of our events, you are truly in for a life-changing treat. You have all the support and motivation you can possibly need. So now the ball is in YOUR court. Step out on Faith and KEEP IT MOVING!!!

NWLB Keep It Moving was featured in the Douglas County Sentinel. Check out this excerpt below:
Fitness movement aims to leave no woman behind by Amanda Thomas / Douglas County Sentinel "Whether they are decked out in their signature purple gear or going red for the American Heart Association, the women of No Woman Left Behind.Keeping It Moving is doing just that. From hitting the pavement during group runs on local streets to skating to old school music at the roller rink, there is a new fitness group that's motivating area women to stay active. The women of NWLB.KIM, who have adopted the nickname "K.I.M.M.I.E. (Keep It Moving...Motivating Inspiring Empowering) meet daily at free group events across Metro Atlanta. The group's inaugural run was Jan. 8. Director of Community Affairs Kemiko Lawrence of Douglasville is one of the founders.
"We wanted to foster a group that would appeal to all women who wanted to be involved in a fitness activity," Lawrence said. "My interest developed out of my love for fitness and movement and wanting to share that with women."... |

A Few Words from Savannah!
|
Hello KIMMIES!
In Savannah, we are excited about NWLB - Keep It Moving! Since we have joined this awesome organization of women who motivate and empower us to stay healthy and fit by keeping it moving, we have increased our physical activity, formed meaningful bonds with women we didn't even know 6 weeks ago, and enjoyed various activities as well as reap the benefits of weight loss and health improvements.
We are ECSTATIC!!
On Mondays, we have our Ladies Lap Around the Lake! Lake Mayer is a beautiful lake and park with a 1.5 mile track. Most of us now run or walk 6 miles around the track every Monday! On every other Tuesday, we decided to throw a little skating into the mix with Skate Night Tuesdays in Savannah! This activity has proven to be a great mixture of fun, leg strengthening, coordination, and not so coordination, also known as falling down!! All in all, we have a great night and time on Tuesdays with our fellow KIMMIES and our children!
On Thursdays, we alternate activities with Fierce Females Around Forsyth Park and Lovely Ladies Linedancing to Lean! Forsyth Park sits in the heart of beautiful and historic downtown Savannah and that park is surrounded by a 1.5 mile track that we either walk or run around four times! We encourage our ladies to do what they can at their pace and their endurance will eventually build up.
Line-dancing is a blast as we are taught all the latest moves by a dacing machine himself, Mr. Romeo!! He is the King of Linedancing and we leave there with very sweaty bodies and in need of trips to the salon because we WORK IT!
On Saturday Mornings, we have Sunrise Saturdays at Daffin Park, another 1.5 mile track that we circle as much as we can, usually 4.5 to 6 miles!
We are serious about getting fit and staying fit and we love NWLB.KIM and will continue to promote the organization in the LowCountry!
K.I.M.
Your Savannah GLAs are Mary Merritt and Stephanie Selver Durham
