College Breaks Ground on Two New Buildings
Nash Community College broke ground on two new buildings - the Advanced Manufacturing and Cosmetology buildings- at a ceremony held Thursday, October 12, 2017. The facilities are slated to open in the summer of 2018.

"Good projects take all kinds of leadership to spur people to action. This project, like many of the programs at NCC, has many partners. County leadership worked with the College, and with administrative approval, got the ball rolling. Some incredibly generous individuals have also provided private support," NCC President Dr. Bill Carver told attendees. "The architects and contractors were selected and building plans were completed. We fast forward to today and are once again working with Oakley and Collier and our new partner, Engineered Construction."  Read more.

Certification of a "pathway" shows that the training meets the state's rigorous requirements and demonstrates the importance of employer-led, integrated strategies that will connect job seekers to employers.
