NYU College of Dentistry Researchers Adapt HIV Test in Developing Rapid Diagnostic Test for Zika Virus

Researchers at New York University College of Dentistry (NYU Dentistry), in collaboration with Rheonix, Inc. (Ithaca, NY), are developing a novel test for Zika virus that uses saliva to identify diagnostic markers of the virus in a fraction of the time of current commercial tests.   Read more.

NYU College of Dentistry Faculty Rank 3rd Nationally in Number of Articles Published in JDE in 2017

NYU dental faculty had the third largest number of articles published in the Journal of Dental Education (JDE) in 2017, with a total of 6 articles. Only the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (8 articles) and the University of Michigan (7) were ahead of us. We congratulate our faculty on raising the College's scholarly profile in this significant way.   Read more.

Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester: Oral Medicine Specialist was Key to Relieving Woman's Prolonged Pain

Dianne was referred to Dr. Sharon Elad, an oral medicine specialist with University of Rochester Medicine's Eastman Institute for Oral Health who diagnosed Dianne with Burning Mouth Syndrome, the term for chronic burning in the mouth without an obvious reason .   Read more.
