Dear Friends of Noah's Ark,
Whilst everyone is happily preparing for the holidays and planning their Christmas shopping to celebrate the coming festivities, we at Noah's Ark have little time to think of celebrating, as we continue to attend to animal abuse cases both in Singapore and Malaysia almost daily. It can be extremely frustrating and even upsetting but at the same time it is always gratifying. As the animals that we are able to help are innocent victims without a voice and it is people like all of you that can make a difference by giving them a second or even third chance at life by providing them a place to call home be it the sanctuary or your very own place.
With that in mind, we are now appealing for assistance in rehoming some cats. Early November, a social welfare officer contacted Noah's Ark asking if we could help Mr Lim, a 78 year old man with 22 cats in his apartment because he had received notice from HDB to remove all his cats as cats are not allowed to be kept in HDB apartments.
Our team of volunteers together with a vet from "My Family Vet" went to visit Mr Lim to assess his cats' condition and to see how best we could help him with the cats.
Mr Lim is an elderly generous gentleman who has tried his best to care for these 22 cats who he treats as family as they have been with him for the last 10 years. Sadly he is living on public assistance is also aware that with his growing years, he may no longer be able to care for them in the manner that he would wish to. As such, despite his great attachment to each and every one of his cats, he realizes that it is in their best interest if they are rehomed.
We are now working together with the social welfare office to help Mr Lim rehome his cats - if you have a space in your heart and a home for a loving cat, please contact our volunteers at email If you are unable to take a cat but still wish to help Mr Lim, please consider contributing towards the cats' medical aid or welfare - any financial contribution would be much appreciated. You may donate to Noah's Ark CARES and highlight that the funds are to be used for Mr Lim's cats.

Animal Blessing by St. Mary of the Angels
On 8 November 2013, after 13.5 long years have passed since our move from Singapore to Johor all our animals had their first blessing by the Franciscan priests, whose patron saint is St Francis of Assisi, the saint of animals and environment.
We would like to thank Reverend Father John-Paul Tan and Reverend Father Derrick Yap, both animal lovers who made the visit up to the sanctuary just to bless the animals at the ark.

Xiao Hei the Hougang Dog
We are pleased to update you that Xiao Hei, the Hougang Dog ,that was caught by the dog catcher and had faced an uncertain future until Noah's Ark decided to take him in has now been rehomed and has settled in very nicely in his new home.

We would like to thank every one of our friends for supporting our recent fund raising dinner on 31 October at the Hilton Hotel, your presence has enabled us to continue with our work at the sanctuary. We hope that each and every one of you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you at next year's "animal" gathering.

Update of August's Food Drive
We would like to thank all our supporters for the amounts that were pledged during the August food drive: we received a total of:
- 70 cartons of Feline Gourmet Can Food (400g) (enough to last us 70 days)
- 310 cartons of Canine Gourmet Wet Food (100g) (enough to last us 39 days)
- 114 bags of Sport Mix Cat Dry Food (15kg) (enough to last us 57 days)
- 404 bags of Sport Mix Dog Dry Food (20kg) (enough to last us 44 days)
The items were all delivered to Noah's Ark Sanctuary in October and was promptly consumed with much anticipation and gusto by the animals.
Before 2013 draws to a close, Pet Station has generously agreed to organize another food donation drive for the month of December starting 1 December till 31st - we hope that you will continue to support us so that we are able to feed all our animals at the sanctuary.
Once again, thank you for your generous support and kindness, without which we would not be able to continue to help the animals.
