The newly redesigned Northeastern Ohio Synod Website will be launched in a couple of weeks. We here at the Synod Office are excited about the fresh look and are eagerly looking forward to engaging with you and strengthening our relationship through this medium.
One outstanding feature will be the opportunity for congregations to share what is happening in their particular setting and creating awareness about your ministries. To that end, we are asking each congregation to appoint a "Congregational Correspondent." This person, preferably not the pastor or church secretary, should be the one whom anyone in your congregation will contact with any information you think is worth sharing, whether it be an upcoming event or a particular liturgy that you think would be of interest to others. Think of someone in your congregation who would take on that responsibility, and contact Sony Gilroy (
[email protected]
) with that person's name and email. We will send them further instruction as to how to log on to the site and input the information.

You and your congregation are invited to help the Southern Ohio Synod break the world record for the largest potluck! The folks from Guinness will be there to record our numbers and get us into their World Records book! We're aiming for 2000 participants, so bring your entire congregation and round up a few neighbors too!
Breaking records is fun, but the real reason for the potluck is to raise awareness of hunger in our country and to gather shelf stable food items to stock the shelves of local food pantries. To continue reading click
