Your friendly all-volunteer staff has been working hard to plan, organize, and create a fantastic convention for you this year! Our website is bursting with new updates, we've been posting like mad on social media, and we're getting excited for the best year yet. While pre-registration has now closed, registration will be available at the door for $75. (Day rates also available!)
   Guest of Honor Banquet
Imagine having dinner with your favorite Guest of Honor. If you haven't picked up your ticket yet and need a bit more enticement, the menu for the evening is now posted. Time is running out - tickets are only available until April 6th!

Norwescon is always looking for volunteers, and it is never too late to get involved. Our monthly Convention Committee planning meeting is a great way to join the fun!

Do you? Bring any king of talent you can show off in eight minutes or less; our talent show/gong show/performance event is open to everyone of all skill levels. So c'mon out and bring your friends, your moirails, your Rival-san, whoever you can drag along. There are a prizes and a first-place trophy you'll have to see to believe! Fandance Film Festival
Selections for the 2014 Fandance Film Festival at Norwescon 37 have been announced! Congratulations to the selectees! The Fandance Film Festival will be held on Sunday of Norwescon 37, featuring these short films, plus the final creation of this year's Let's Make a Movie workshop.
Volunteers Needed
Tables and chairs and boxes....oh my! Did you know that Norwescon needs volunteers on Wednesday to help set up our awesome convention? We will also need lots of willing hands to help during the convention in order to keep it running at top speed. Please consider visiting the volunteer longue and signing up to given even an hour of your time to help out. We have prizes!

Masquerade Rules

Costumers! Rules and registration for the Norwescon 37 Masquerade are now available! This year we are taking Masquerade registration entirely online through our website, and registration will be open until 11:30am on Saturday of the convention (April 19). We look forward to another excellent parade of costumes in the Masquerade! 



EMP Discount
Your Norwescon 37 membership will give you a 10% discount when you purchase a yearly membership (individual, dual or family) at the EMP Museum in Seattle, Washington. Please present your Norwescon badge or your receipt when you purchase your membership at EMP in person (no online purchases). This offer runs until December 31st 2014. Please visit the EMP membership page for additional information.

Music Tech Training
Ever wanted to be backstage at the show? nwcMUSIC's tech crew needs trained helpers this year, particularly on Friday afternoon. John Seghers, the nwcMUSIC tech lead, will be holding a special training session at the April Norwescon Concom Meeting. You'll learn about the secret ninja methods of our most excellent sound crew. Everyone interested should attend!  Meeting and training are on April 5th, at the Sea-Tac Doubletree; the meeting starts at1pm, with the training session starting shortly afterwards. Contact music@norwescon.org if you are interested!

Locus Awards
Norwescon is very proud to be a sponsor of the annual Locus Awards, and tickets for the 2014 Locus Awards Weekend are now available! The Locus Awards is considered one of the premier science fiction awards and events in the science fiction community and Seattle is fortunate to be its host city.
