Medicaid Health Homes Improving from Lessons Learned

 

The Ohio Departments of Medicaid (ODM) and Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS) are creating Medicaid "health homes" for people with serious mental illness. ODM and MHAS filed rules in July to implement health homes statewide, but the rule raised concerns about enrollment criteria and funding. In response, ODM and MHAS will update and refile the health home rules to address stakeholder concerns and guarantee the sustainability of the program.

Aligning Early Intervention Programs

The Ohio Departments of Health (ODH) and Developmental Disabilities (DODD) recently clarified how the two agencies will work together to build a more coordinated and comprehensive system of early intervention services for Ohio children and their families.
