Greetings!
At
last I have compiled some workshops. They will all be held at my
home studio in Parksville, BC. My goal is to instruct all levels
of artists in a relaxed fun filled environment with a focus on
community, process and experimenting. I hope you will join me for
one of the workshops and if you have other ideas for workshops you
are interested in please let me know. I am happy to provide
private or semiprivate workshops to accommodate your dates. I am
also available to travel to your location to do a workshop.

Photo
Transfer
 Join me in this 3 hour workshop and learn several
techniques of doing photo transfers on different surfaces. All
supplies will be included in the cost of the course.

Demystifying
Mixed Media
You are curious about all the possibilities and just don't
know where to start. In this workshop, contemporary
mixed media artist Patt Scrivener will walk you through the various
products available from the art supply store as well as alternative
products you may use. You will make a complete sample
book of the various mediums and experiment with applying colours on
them. You will also
create an 8 x 10 painting experimenting with
themediums.

Mixed Media Collage

Learn collage techniques using paint, photo transfers,
antique papers, maps, letters, sheet music, foil, text and images
from old books, and almost anything else to create
unique collage paintings. You will also make hand painted and
stamped paper to use in your collages. A great way to
finish unresolved paintings -bring some!!
Date: Nov. 8th and 9th (Mon. and Tues.)

Understanding Colour
Fall Colours

With a background in Floral and Interior Design as
well as being a Certified Colour Consultant instructor Patt
Scrivener will enlighten you on the use of colour and how to apply
the theory to your paintings. You will develop a take
home coluur chart for your reference and experiment with colour
mixing and glazing transparent colours.

Feel the fear and do it anyway!! With her training as a Life
Coach, Patt will lead you through a variety of exercises to help
calm down your inner gremlin and get you painting
fearlessly.
Come and explore your creative side in a safe supportive
atmosphere.

= full refund or may change to another

class date = full refund only if the space is filled by another
paying student.

If the workshop is canceled by the
instructor, you will receive a full refund.

as a result of participation in any class or workshop, the
registered student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Patt
Scrivener and all employees, instructors and volunteers connected
with Patt Scrivener Contemporary Art.
