Thanks for Giving!
Food donated by P4K families
Thanks to everyone who donated food to our Thanksgiving dinner boxes. Due to your generosity, P4K was able to donate 22 boxes , each filled with items that complete a Thanksgiving dinner for a family. Each family who received a box also received a turkey that was purchased via monetary donations from Pearce Church members. Pearce distributed over 1000 boxes of food to families in the Rochester community this weekend.  Thanks to everyone who "took a feather or two" to help with this project.
Linked with Love: Nzige, Rwanda/P4K Partnership
The P4K team heading to our partner preschool in Nzige, Rwanda is busy preparing for their trip. On February 1st Lydia Monroe, Becky Watson, Becca Johnson and Leandra Cooke will board a plane and head to Africa! The purpose of the trip is to provide teacher training for the preschool teachers, conduct some model teaching lessons for the teachers with children in the classroom and strengthen the relationship between Pearce Church, Pearce 4 Kids and the Nzige preschool. Two other team members going with the P4K team include Pearce members Carol Stevenson, who will be focusing her teacher training with the primary school teachers, and Beverly Faro, a nurse who will provide some basic health and hygiene training for the teachers and children as well as assess the need for medical teams to provide support to the school in the future.

While in Nzige, the team will have the opportunity to visit Rosine, P4K's sponsored child at the preschool. The picture to the left is our P4K Nursery School teacher, Sue Smout, with Rosine in August 2016. Sue traveled with a Pearce teacher training team and tells about her experiences in the following write up: Visiting the Nzige Preschool by Sue Smout. To stay up to date on the P4K team's travels before we head off to Rwanda, as well as while we are there, "like" the Linked with Love Facebook page.
