PCHC Offers $1.1M in Rx Savings & Access

In 2015, PCHC's Prescription Assistance Programs helped patients access $1.1 Million dollars' worth of medications at no cost. This was accomplished through our partnerships with manufacturer bulk replenishment programs including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Merc and Direct Relief and the PCHC affordable care program using savings created by the 340B Drug program. Based on this great success and the needs of our community, PCHC is adding two additional staff members to the PCHC Pharmacy Prescription Assistance team to further serve our patients and community.
Chief Pharmacy Officer Recognized

Felicity Homsted, PharmD, BCPS, PCHC Chief Pharmacy Officer, was recognized December 7th by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) for her exceptional leadership and advocacy for patients and the profession of Pharmacy.  The ASHP Political Action Committee recognized Dr. Homsted during the Midyear Residency Showcase in New Orleans, Louisiana, in part for her efforts in the campaign for pharmacist provider status.  In the past year, ASHP has experienced numerous advocacy victories, most notably the introduction of provider status legislation in January 2015. The ASPH credited Dr. Homsted for her substantial contribution toward this effort.
