Power 2 Give - Spin & Pop a Wheelie
Spin & Pop a Wheelie is our upcoming online fundraiser with Power 2 Give and Culture Source to raise money for nine potter's wheels. We are raising this money to bring wheels into the at-risk Detroit communities where we teach ceramics classes.

Our project launches this Thursday, June 27 at midnight. Culture Source has secured $60,000 in matching funds from the Ford Foundation. Ford will match dollar for dollar to the first $60,000 donated. The dollars are time sensitive, and we are competing with other organizations for these match dollars. The earlier you donate the better chance Pewabic has of securing match funding.

Step 1: At midnight on Thursday, June 27th, go to  http://www.power2give.org/go/o/692.
Step 2: Donate an amount that is right for you.
Step 3: Share on Facebook or Twitter that you donated.
Step 4: Celebrate being an advocate for arts education.

If you are unable to make a donation, we understand and appreciate your support nonetheless. We do ask that you share information about our campaign with your friends, family and co-workers. Thank you in advance for your generous support!
Passport to Pottery Summer Camp

School is out and Summer Camp has started. The first week of our annual camp Passport to Pottery is underway and students have travelled all the way to Russia to learn how to make Faberge eggs and Russian nesting dolls. Every week is an adventure with new fun lessons on how to use ceramics. We have both morning sessions, 9am - noon, and afternoon sessions, 1pm - 4pm. For a full list of our camp offerings, visit our website.
Peacock Chronicle - Emily Duke Visits

Fresh off of her residency at Red Star Studios in Kansas City, OMO, Emily Duke is trekking back to Detroit for her workshop, From the Ground Up, here at Pewabic. In our newest blog post, Emily writes about her experience at Red Star and how her studio practice led her to this point in her career. Take a look on the Peacock Chronicle. Then, sign up for her workshop.

Pewabic will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
