All Extec C-12+ to new models, QJ341, have installed an auto greaser unit for protection of inner and outer bearings as part of their jaw stock.
A high viscosity, mineral oil based grease is formulated and used within these units to withstand high temperatures and extreme loads. it is suitable for a wide range of applications, especially in the cement, mining and metals segments. This grease contains no additives and the extreme pressure properties arise from the soap structure.

The Vogel greasing unit delivers 2.5cubic cm of grease per minute with 1 cubic cm equating 0.95 grams.
The units are set to run for 6 minutes in every hour; 6 minutes per hour x 2.5cc = 15cc = 14.25 grams per hour or 3% of 420gr tube every hour.
14.25 grams x 8 hours = 114 grams total per day which is broken to 114g รท 4 = 28.5 grams of grease in each bearing for an 8 hour day.
114grams x 5 working days = 570 grams total per 40 working hour week, which is less than 1.5 tubes per week.
