Spotlight on QI240 HS

Sandvik QI240

The QI240 has been developed over the last two years by Sandvik's renowned research and development programme. Purpose designed to process construction materials on site, the QI240 has been designed with mobility, productivity, transportability, minimal environmental impact and user friendliness at its core.

Sandvik QI240
The QI240 possesses recent developments that will ensure it becomes the impact crusher of choice throughout the construction industry:
  • The machine is fitted with a pre-screen to ensure maximum scalping capability in order to prevent any undersize material passing through the impactor, thereby maximising throughput and reducing wear costs. This also allows a specified sized product to be produced from the natural fines conveyor.
  • The pre-screen has a choice of grizzly, punch plate or heavy duty mesh top deck and mesh bottom deck, providing the flexibility to suit any application.
  • The QI240 is fitted with an underpan feeder which drastically reduces any spillage issues generally associated with impact crushers. The underpan feeder eliminates the need for skirt rubbers that are normally situated in the severe impact zone of a feed boot.
  • The underpan feeder also protects the conveyor belt from high velocity material from the rotor. This material is contained on the wear resistant underpan feeder liners and gently delivered onto the conveyor belt.
  • The Sandvik PriSec impactor is the most flexible impactor currently available on the market designed to meet end product specifications.
  • Two hydraulically adjustable apron curtains can be positioned to facilitate the machine's operation as a Primary impactor, however they can also be repositioned to operate as a Secondary impactor to produce much smaller end products.

EOFY - run out price on FTS75

The main advantage of the FTS75 Feeder track driven stockpiler is that it can be fed directly with any Excavator or Wheeled loader. Conventional conveyors without a Feeder conveyor attached cannot receive a large volume of material at once.

The FTS75 stockpiler is an excellent solution where the user needs to control the flow of material output. The FTS75 is excellent at holding a buffer of material within the hopper then allowing a regulated flow of material to travel up the main conveyor belt. This particular function means that the conveyor can be used to Feed material onto Screenboxes and Cone Crushers.

FTS75 has the option of a Vibrating Grid

Recycling Feature
The key to any Concrete recycling process is Preparation. This is best achieved by using cutting and a pulverising tools such as the Rammer RC22  cutter and the RG2033 Pulveriser.  The pulveriser is ideally suited for secondary demolition and recycling duties (Pre crushing work).  Rammer BR3288 Hammer can also be used for primary demolition-concrete breaking at first stage of recycling.
RC22 RG2033

Once the Concrete is prepped to a approx. 500mm piece sizes and below, the crushing and production of materials can happen. The Jaw Crusher is recommended as the primary crushing stage to help deal with the arduous shape and steel content in the concrete- the on-board Overband Magnet helps to extract a large percentage of the steel before the material continues on for secondary crushing or screening.

After the Jaw material is generally screened off through a Scalper like a QE341 or QE440 with the oversize going to an Impactor for further reduction. The HS option (Hanging screen) is an excellent way to provide a controlled finished product in a closed loop system. The Sandvik Impactor range is also designed to be fed directly from the Jaw if so desired. The unique Sandvik PriSec impact box allows the impactor to be set up in either the primary or the secondary position by changing the location of the pivot point on the adjustment aprons.

Recycled concrete makes an excellent roadbase type product, drainage aggregates, under slab material and select fill as well as salvaging recycled steel.

Precisionscreen Picking Stations

The recycling of waste materials is becoming more of a necessity given the increasing costs to dump materials. Precisionscreen have designed Modular picking stations to work in conjunction with the Sandvik Scalping range to help reduce these costs.

The Scalper in this scenario removes the soil/fines/dirt below 25mm and the can make a select middle range product depending on the type of waste material. The oversize material travels up the discharge belt and in to the picking station. This can be in the form of as many bays or pickers as required. A more commonly set up is a two bay with 4 men (2 each side). Below the picking bay sits two skip bins for plastic/wood, the picking belt then travels onwards where a Overband magnet can be fitted for Metal removal allowing larger concrete/brick type material to discharge at the end.

Precisionscreen can tailor make a Picking station to suit your recycling facility whether it be indoors or outdoors. Please enquire today to get a quote.

Overband Magnets

Precisionscreen is offering another excellent solution for your extracting and recycling applications; Self-cleaning cross belt magnetic separators.

These separators are ideal for applications requiring uninterrupted steel removal on heavy burdened and fast moving belts. The cross band magnets utilize a permanent magnet circuit to provide a continuous and uniform magnetic field across the feed belt to optimize separation efficiency of damaging tramp metal.

Overband Magnet Magnets on offer are supplied with a self cleaning feature which removes large tramp metal from 1200mm maximum belt width at 300-400mm maximum suspension height.

As seen on Sandvik, Extec and Fintec crushers, contact our after sales support team today for special pricing on magnets in stock at our Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney locations.
