Looking back over 2014

We had our 28th birthday this year but that was not the only highlight we have looked over 2014 and come up with a few significant moments.

New Sandvik Machines Launched

Sandvik launched the new QS range including the QS441 Cone Crusher and the QS331 Cone Crusher in Australia. Sandvik's "S" type gyratory cone is able to accept a feed size up to 90% larger than current standard cones, which allows maximum productivity from your primary crusher, or even enables the "S" cone to be operated as a primary crusher on gravel applications. The larger QS441 56 ton unit will feature the class leading CS440 cone, whilst the smaller, more compact 36 ton QS331, incorporates the CS430 cone crusher.

The Sandvik QA441 Mobile Screen was launched featuring a Patented Doublescreen featuring two independent two deck screens 6 x 1.5m (20' x 5') equivalent, effectively performing two processes on one plant. The QA441 is therefore ideal for large scale aggregates producers but lends itself to many applications including iron ore, topsoil, recycling, minerals, coal, sand and gravel.

Closer to home we also launched new machines and machine modifications.

The Scorpion Pugmill received a facelift with a new PLC control system. Allowing the ability to select different product mixes at the touch of a button. Can also be used in conjunction with the Precisionscreen Cement Transfer System CTS50/75/100 for making CTB.

Our Australian designed & built  PV350 VSI Crusher received a little brother in the form of the  PV250 VSI. The use of a VSI helps the end user to maintain shape and bottom end sizing in the material easier and more cost effectively.

We launched our Sand Washing Plant SRD240X, this machine is an all in one wash plant boasting all components required for processing sand products. The SRD240x incorporates similar features used on the successful SRD180 plant by way of the Dual Bucket wheel, large weir area and submerged screw.

Sandvik QS Range

The "S" type gyratory cone crusher has proven itself in stationary applications for over 30 years, becoming one of the most reliable, versatile and productive cone crushers on the market today.

Sandvik QS331

Sandvik's "S" type gyratory cone is able to accept a feed size up to 90% larger than current standard cones, which allows maximum productivity from your primary crusher, or even enables the "S" cone to be operated as a primary crusher on gravel applications. The larger QS441 56 ton unit will feature the class leading CS440 cone, whilst the smaller, more compact 36 ton QS331, incorporates the CS430 cone crusher.

With a choice of three concaves, and four bush settings to control the closed side settings and material gradation, both the new units offer ultimate flexibility.  Capable of producing large reduction ratios, with minimal fines, production it is ideally suited for crusher run (6F5 material), rail ballast / drainage stone or material for a tertiary crushing plant.

QS441

Key features include:

  • Automatic level sensor above the crushing chamber to control the feed rate and minimize operator intervention for maximum production and reduction.
  • Metal detector fitted as standard to provide maximum stability and protection from tramp material
  • Remote camera for visibility of the crushing chamber from ground level
  • Hydroset CSS regulation system to optimise production and keep track of liner wear
  • Four hydraulic jacking legs for stability and to guarantee a level operating platform
  • Heavy duty "I" beam chassis to ensure maximum durability
  • CAT C13 diesel engine with direct drive for maximum power delivery and fuel efficiency
  • Hydraulically driven cooling fan with auto reverse function to back flush dust from the radiator
  • Wide selection of optional extras to suit every climate and customer need
Sandvik QA441 Mobile Screen

The QA441 Mobile Screen features the patented Doublescreen system, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary since its launch in 1999, this unique, world-class technology is a revolutionary design utilizing two high velocity screen boxes that work independently of each other; the primary screen works as a fines extractor, whilst the secondary screen operates as a grader. Doublescreen advantages over competing products include greater material control, greater adjustability, increased accuracy and higher screening efficiencies, making this unit ideal for producing massive volumes of high specification products, without compromising on productivity.

  Sandvik QA441 Mobile Screen

The QA441 is therefore ideal for large scale aggregates producers but lends itself to many applications including iron ore, topsoil, recycling, minerals, coal, sand and gravel.

Features include:

  • Patented Doublescreen featuring two independent two deck screens 6 x 1.5m (20' x 5') equivalent, effectively performing two processes on one plant
  • Versatile unit, capable of producing large volumes of high specification products
  • Large volume hopper complete with remote control hydraulic tipping grid
  • Massive stockpiling capability through integrated hydraulic conveyors
  • Greater adjustability, increased accuracy and higher screening efficiencies over competing products
  • Ease of operation with new color-coded control panel with sequential start up
  • Ease of maintenance with hydraulically folding walkways on three sides
  • Safety compliant with the latest Machinery Directives and full radio remote control throughout.
Scorpion Pugmill PLC

The Precisionscreen Pugmill is a very versatile machine that can be adopted to work with various applications for mixing. The nominal Pugmill capacity is a whopping 300TPH. The Scorpion Pugmill has an elevated pug head that discharges the pugged material from a 3.5m height, this feature avoids the issue of segregation on the belt and makes it easier to clean the main belt as the material is carried to the pug head dry.

Can also be used in conjunction with the Precisionscreen Cement Transfer System CTS50/75/100 for making CTB.
