Dear TST Families,
This past Sunday, we enjoyed our final Sababa Sunday of the year. Students, parents and teachers joined in tefilah (community prayer), and in early celebration of Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) which is on April 19.
Our third through sixth graders will commemorate Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), this coming Wednesday. Students will lead readings, raise their voices in song, and light candles in memory of those who were lost due to terrible atrocities. We will make a commitment to help make our world a place in which this will never happen again.
It's hard to believe how quickly the end of our school year is approaching! We have an exciting end of the year program planned for Sunday, May 6th. Students will first have time for closing activities with their teachers, a year-end celebration in the sanctuary, and a family BBQ.
