HAPPY OCTOBER
My favorite time of year! Time for seasonal allergies and gorging yourself on candy. It's also time to dig up those old show costumes and re-purpose them for Halloween! For example, the old dress you wore in your high school production of How to Succeed... is perfect for your "Zombie Vampire Queen" costume. Just spatter it with blood, pop in some fangs and done.

We've been super busy here at RG. Audition season is upon us again, and it's good to see everybody back at it. We're settling in at our newest location at 305 W. 38th Street, and are excited about the future.
And if you haven't seen our new location yet, stop by anytime. We'd be happy to give you a tour

THANK YOU FOR DONATING
We were able to raise $1500 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Your kindness will benefit those effected by recent hurricanes.
Thanks to our clients and RG staff for sharing helping to raise funds and sharing the love. And a special Thank you to Rosie, who raised $625 at her Bake Sale in the RG lobby.
We have started another campaign for the Las Vegas Victim's Fund. Please feel free to donate at any Ripley-Grier Studios location.

Greetings! Where is Autumn?
I went boogie boarding today, the 22nd of October.
I have a wetsuit and the water is not that cold yet. The air was 70 degrees. I personally enjoy warm weather and am happy to have a warm fall, but I know it is not normal. Plan to go in a few more times this month.
The weekend of October 6, 7, 8 & 9 (Columbus Day) I went out to Montauk for Jeannie and my annual birthday celebration. Jeannie and I always go out that weekend. Alas, she had college activities and could not come, so I went alone. At first it was lonely, but I soon settled in, did some boogie boarding on a glorious Saturday, wrote in my journal and began my ukulele practice. Montauk is a very special place to me. It is romantic, stunning, very physical, but can be socially challenging. The winters are quiet, perfect for an artist or writer.
So excited! We've opened our 4th location at 305 West 38th Street! We are finishing the studio details and the decor. What a wonderful space. Please take time to come over and experience the result of all the efforts of our dedicated staff and construction crews.
Many thanks to Michael Dimen, our managing director, for amazing planning, directing and executing the project. He coordinated all our contractors and builders. I organized a Feng Shui consultation with one of my professors, Barry Gordon and his Feng Shui students. We cleared and blessed the location. It also resulted in purchasing and painting our "Big Ass" ceiling fan (actual name) which represents the 6 colors of the Om Ma Ne Pad Me Hum invocation mantra and the constantly turning Dharma Wheel, the Wheel of Life. Come and see this beautiful fan painted the 6 colors, right over the interior staircase, the "Stairway to Heaven". Also when you go up through the entrance hall stairs you will pass through the "Tunnel of Love" (a work in progress). The entry awning on West 38th Street represents the 6 colors. Throughout the spaces we have the elements of Wood, Metal, Fire, Water and Earth. We also have some pretty cool seating areas. 24 studios including two performance spaces. A big ambitious project.
My fitness classes are booming! Lots of folks working out, feeling and seeing results that a regular fitness routine brings. I am encouraging everyone to continue to enjoy this fantastic weather and get out in the sun and fresh air this season. Stay consistent and move forward, challenge yourselves to be better and better every day in every way.
                  With Love, Patricia

Hello! It's starting to feel a little bit more like autumn, my favorite season! I hope everyone has a fun Halloween. I promised myself I would go trick-or-treating for as long as possible every year, but unfortunately this year I won't be able to because I will be stuck in college. Hopefully next year I'll be back out.
I'm already halfway through my first semester of college (Hofstra University) and I love it so far. It's a lot of work, but I'm learning some pretty interesting things. I'm taking five different classes this semester including philosophy and band. I am also in the university's pep band that has been playing at soccer games, charity walks and more. I turned 18 on September 18th and my parents went in 1/2 with me on a beautiful John Batiste saxophone. I have had 4 driving lessons so far and hope to be driving and getting my own car by February.
I went to two concerts last month: Paul McCartney (with Mom) at Madison Square Garden and Bruno Mars (with Roxanna), also at the Garden. Both were amazing in different ways. this month I saw Glass Animals and I am seeing Imagine Dragons for the 3rd time and meeting them a 2nd time Barclays! My friend Rosalia is going with us. My nephew, Jackson, is going (it is a birthday gift for him, he will be 16 next week) and is bringing his friend Logan. Next month I will also be seeing and meeting the band Saint Motel for the first time.
See you next time, Jeannie
