Accuquilt GO! better cuts make better quilts
 |
What's
all this hype about a Fabric Cutter?
For
those who are just catching on - let's tell you, the GO! fabric
cutter is a die cutter that cuts lots of fabric at one time into
perfect shapes that you choose. It cuts easily, quickly and
accurately! No more carpel tunnel! No more wonky cuts, or trying to
piece together different sized pieces! No more threat of rotary
-cut fingers!
No
matter how experienced you may be, using the GO! will change your
quilt making forever! We all have so much more fun!
If
you are like me and need all the help possible - then the GO! is
amazing, I only have one problem --- it can't go redo the couple of
quilts I cut in the pre - GO! days! I am so not enjoying trying to
piece these!
Have you seen the dies that are due
before Christmas? In
fact I hope that Accuquilt will let me know that they will be here
mid November - at this time they do not know when they will arrive.
You will see they are in the new category GO!BABY that
does not mean they are exclusive to the BABY GO! - Oh! no - we can
use all these dies with our big accuquit GO! and then we can use a
great number of the existing dies with the BABY -
Now
when did baby arrive? When we were in Edmonton for the Creative
Stitches show - they announced the news! We are having a smaller
GO! machine - in time for Christmas! Tell us more! This little
machine is 8.5lbs and even more portable that the 'mother'! It
cuts the same number of layers, will not take the bigger dies that
use 10x24 mat and the dies that take 10x10 mats.
This
is a pre order item, we all know that this is going to be a top
seller for Christmas, already I have most of my pre orders sold! I
had to commit to my order early as Accuquilt will not be able to
meet demand.
Anyone
who has been thinking of buying the GO! but feel they can not
stretch to the cost of the Big One - well here we have
BABY!
We
have put together a fantastic Starter Set for the BABY GO!
Accuquilt
will not be happy with any discount on these new items - we are
offering this starter set to our members! Please note if we can
give discount after your pre order is here - we will adjust your
invoice.
Gingham Dog! have
a peep at one of these affordable new dies!
only $19.99. Other New dies
Quite
a few ladies what the new GO! for the sheer convenience when
traveling.
I
know, many are saying I want the big Accuquilt GO! that takes all
the dies - we are waiting for new stock to arrive this week, we
sold out at the shows and Accuquilt sold out with the world wide
demand. The great Mix & Match Starter Set
still
remains our best seller!
HINTS & TIPS
Mark Lipinski's Fabric Trends For Quilters Magazine - just in
stores.
I discovered there are four quilt patterns in there that have
conversions for the GO! How great is that!! First time I have
bought this magazine - love some of these quilt patterns and really
want to try them.
Other Quilt magazines are going to add directions for use with the
GO! Quilters World have added some items in the December
issue.
Exciting news for GO! users.
This
little garden uses so many Accuquilt Dies!
can
you just see it with the dog and cat running through the
flowers.
Critters die,
Round Flower,
stems $ leaves,
daisy,
fun flower,
tulip,funky
flower,
feathers.
What fun we can have!
QUESTIONS
Have
the cutting mats changed? The latest mats are a different color,
Accuquilt told me the material used is the same.
Rag
Dies - are they harder on the mats? Yes, that is why we recommend
you have separate mats for your Rag dies, expect the mats to be
quite unattractive ! - all those blades cutting and leaving marks
is not so pretty, the mats do not last as long, I have personally
cut several quilts with my rag mat and it is still functioning.
Intend making some of these before the holidays and I shall have a
new mat standing by.
What
is your favorite Die?
Now
that is a great question! let me know! Personally, it depends on
the moment! I was crazy about Blazing Star -
it was soooo easy! Then I am a sucker for Sunbonnet Sue and
Overall Sam - loved cutting these and playing with their color
schemes!
Want
to make up a quilt with Winding Ways- so
it is on my To Do list.
Every
time I use the strip dies I get excited! Every time! It is just
the greatest to take the mat off and see perfect strips -every
time!
So
to be honest I love what I am working with - at that moment it is
my favorite!
Look
forward to your input -- I need all the help I can
get.
Feathers
have been really popular this year, think Wayne Kollingers Blog
with his feathers patterns and ideas have encouraged many of
us.

We have
added more Videos have a
look and let me know if you have questions!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There
are amazing ladies out there who make these videos, we get great
ideas and help from each of them. So thanks to them all. Yes, you
keep telling me to make a video! I have the desire but not the
time! I will do it! First I have to get some baby quilts made
up! Did I tell you guys? I am a grandma to be!! Now wait for this
- my middle son and his wonderful wife Katherine are expecting my
first grandchild on my youngest son, Kev"s birthday! 26 November.
So that is keeping it neat and tidy! Now my eldest son- Jonno, who
is in London, UK has a fabulous wife -Carla and they phoned to give
me an early birthday present - two weeks early to be exact! - I am
going to be a double time grandma to be!!!!! That little bundle
is due to arrive 4 May 2011 and that is my youngest sons,
girlfriends birthday! Someone must have know I am dreadful with
dates! Made lots of burp cloths and receiving blankets, making
some swaddling blankets. Sleeping bags, bibs, nursing covers and of
course quilts using many different dies. So what have I
forgotten?
I
need to start again now for number 2.!
Need to get the camera working and share some pics of quilts using
my GO!
This
was a quick( apple core die)
quilt -Kath wanted to use this panel for a floor quilt. really
like the apple core - think I will work on another quilt using
this.
