Final Report Spotlight: Comparative Analysis of Dynamic Pricing Strategies for Managed Lanes
 
The necessity of express lanes has been widely accepted by users who spend a great deal of time on congested highways every day.  It might seem that high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes or express toll lanes (ETL) are beneficial only to their users, but they actually also benefit general purpose (GP) lanes users if a toll is set properly.

Student Spotlight: Aditi Misra, Ph.D. Student at GaTech                   
 
State of the art research and resources abound in the United States and that motivated Aditi Misra to relocate to this country for her research.  Growing up in India in the 1990s, Misra witnessed a sudden boom of infrastructure, stirring-up excitement for engineering at a young age. After finishing her bachelor's degree in Civil engineering at Jadavpur University, Misra worked with a consulting firm in India on geotechnical projects. Statewide Training of SafetyAnalyst in Florida
  
A one-hour session on Engineering Statistics 101 for Safety was held during the 2015 Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Design Training Expo on June 11th at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Fla. Managed Lanes on Arterials Workshops 
   
The STRIDE Center funded two workshops on managed lanes held on October 19th and 20th that were based on results from a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) study titled Deployment Strategies of Managed Lanes on Arterials (BDV32-977-01). The workshops were held at the FDOT District 6 auditorium in Miami and at the Mike Rippe Auditorium in Bartow, Fla. [Read more]
2016 UTC Conference for the Southeastern Region to be Hosted by the University of Tennessee

The conference will be held March 31st and April 1st, 2016 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. This yearly conference brings together faculty, students, practitioners and public agencies in the southeast to showcase the latest in research, education and technology transfer activities. STRIDE-Funded Research Presented at Florida i3 Transportation Showcase 
   
STRIDE-funded research projects were featured as part of the Technical Presentation Program at the Florida i3 Transportation Showcase that was held May 26th through May 29th, 2015 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate.  The session titled  "Active Traffic Management" showcased research conducted through STRIDE.
