Dear Alumnae/i,
Athletes are a critical part of our student body, comprising nearly a third of the group, maintaining higher GPAs and being leaders on campus. Just as all SMWC students get a high-quality education, those on sports teams need a place they can practice, and where fellow students and other fans of The Woods can cheer them on.
That's one reason why we have launched our Pomeroy Pride campaign to build a sports and recreation center. Besides being great for our current athletes, this facility will help attract more students, both in sports and academics. It will also give us opportunities to add new sports and address general health and wellness issues for the community.
We appreciate the support you have given us through the years, both moral and financial, and invite you to help us with this goal. You can read more on the Pomeroy Pride campaign website. Thank you! With Pomeroy Pride, Chanel Reeder '10 Director of Alumnae/i Affairs
