An Unusual Winter Season:

Get out and enjoy your last opportunity to take advantage of terrain that is usually covered by snow by now. There are dry approaches to ice climbs, open highways, and frozen icy lakes. Don't pass up your last chance to experience this crazy winter and what it offers. By the weekend, some things are going to change, big time.

Some things to consider:

~ We have someone interested in our crampon & ice axe seminar this winter/spring. Sharing a course with someone makes it less expensive for everyone.

AMGA Certified Rock Guide: Jed Porter

Congratulations to Jed Porter for attaining an AMGA Certification. AMGA Instructors go through extensive training and examination as well as providing an extensive personal climbing resume.

Jed recently completed both his AMGA Rock & Ski Aspirant Exams. Rock Instructor Certification is designed for guides that guide in single and multi-pitch grade III rock environments. Guides attain Rock Instructor Certification after a 10-day training course, a Wilderness First Responder course and a 6-day Rock Instructor Exam.

"Jed is a great teacher.  In addition to safely pursuing each day's objective, he is always aware of my long term goals as a climber.  Each day I've spent with Jed in the mountains has ended with me being a stronger and more confident climber."- Chad B.
