Why Pomegranate Chips? Thanks for Asking!
According to researchers at Rice University, Antioxidants protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which can play a role in cancer, heart disease, and other serious conditions. Free radicals can start a domino effect in your cells and damage DNA or your cell membrane. Free radicals are released when your body digests food and/or from environmental exposures (tobacco smoke, pollution, radiation, etc). Different examples of antioxidants are Beta-Carotene, Lutein, Lycopene, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, Manganese, and Zinc. Antioxidants are found in many foods like fruits (pomegranates for example), vegetables, nuts, grains, and some meats, poultry and fish. We're happy to report that our new line of Pomegranate Chips contain 58% of the antioxidants you would get in a glass of Pomegranate juice.
