Making Strides
Greetings! 

I hope that everyone is settling into spring and getting ready for a wonderful summer.

The first quarter of 2012 has been a good one for Only I Can Define Me and the message that will be contained in my next book.  I have enjoyed speaking on mental health awareness, overcoming a dysfunctional upbringing, the value of education and women's issues.  I was touched to be honored by the Girl Scouts at their Palm Beach 100 year celebration.  Along with positive messages, I have truly enjoyed touching the lives of others.  Thank you to all that have supported me in so many ways.   

 The first lecture on Adolescent Bipolar at Columbia Hospital was filled to capacity.  A second lecture is scheduled for April 4, 2012 from 12-1:30 at Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach.  The presentation is free but rsvp is required (1 888 256 7614).  Lunch will be provided.  The hospital has added 25 additional seats and as of last week there were only about 30 seats left.  CEU credits will be offered for healthcare professionals. The first portion of the presenation will be Dr. Christopher Kye, MD delivering the psychiatrist analysis and I will follow with the mothers' perspective.  During our last presentation, I learned a great deal abou the disorder. 

 

I will have copies of Only I Can Define Me for sale and will sign books after the presentation. 

 

 

Upcoming Events

May is Mental Health Month

 

 

 May is Mental Health month and we have some exciting things going on in Palm Beach County.  For one, I will be speaking and signing books at three libraries during the month of may.  My current schedule is:

 

May 9 at the Palm Beach Gardens Library at 2:30 pm

May 17 at the Wellington Library at 2:30 pm

May 22 at the Lantana Library at 2 pm. 

 

CLICKING IN

 

I will be the keynote for Clicking In at the Colony Hotel on Palm Beach on May 2, 2012 from 11-2.  This is always a great event hosted by Clicking In and Lani Click.  I will be discussing "Releasing Shame and Defining You".  I will have my books at this event and will sign books after the event.  There are vendor opportunities available.  To register or inquire about vendor opportunites see  www.clickingin.org.

 

SWMA (SUCCESSFUL WOMEN'S MASTERMIND ALLIANCE)

 

I will be speaking at the SWMA Jupiter luncheon on May 18 at the Sugar Cane Bistro in Jupiter at noon.  This is a great group of ladies and will be a great networking opportunity. I will have books at this event and will sign after the event ends.  I will post the link closer to the scheduled lunch.
