Company members and guest dancers will also be performing excerpts from our upcoming production of The Nutcracker. Kendall Heuman, Grant Johnson, Andrew Maynerich and Briley Tanner will be performing Russian Trepak; and Anna Benoit, Jaclyn Conway, Madison Hutmacher, Taylor Krech and Allison Rainford will be performing Marzipan.

The ISO's Holiday Pops in the Heartland is a great way to kick off the holiday season. Join us this weekend!

Training Our Dancers

Springfield Ballet Company welcomed two master teachers to our studio this month -- Jennifer Harge taught modern on November 2 and Luda Olifiruk taught salsa on November 16.

The modern class included elements of funk, Caribbean and West African dance. The salsa class inspired the dancers to create choreographic presentations using theme and variation. Our dancers were motivated, enlightened and inspired by their experiences.

Luda Olifiruk will be appearing as a guest dancer in our upcoming production of The Nutcracker, alongside her husband Artem Burnukin, in the Russian Trepak variation. Luda recently relocated to the Chicago area and we wish her the best of luck in her transition!

Jennifer Harge will be returning to SBC in mid-December to choreograph a piece for our upcoming Leap into Lincoln educational performance at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

We are grateful for these types of ongoing professional relationships with such talented and experienced dancers, teachers and choreographers.
