Reflection
As you know, I value the collective wisdom of the leadership that is found on the vestry.  Every month, a new or different insight is shared with us as members take turns giving the reflection during Compline that starts our meeting.  The following is from Frank Mastrone, and continues the rich reflections we are used to:

When the late night comics spoke for the first time after this years election results came in, they all said "Well, the good news is, for the next four years our jobs  just got a whole lot easier.   For a moment, I thought the same thing. "How lucky am I to get to do the reflection only a week after this historic decision in our nation's history."  But I was wrong. This is not an easy situation to reflect upon.   In my reflection, I must start off by saying I was humbled by the words our parish leaders shared at services this past Sunday (11/13/16).
We are truly blessed to share fellowship with these fine people.  To read more, click here. . .

St. Francis
Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there
is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is d
oubt, faith;
where there i
s despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
