Reflection

Blessings to you all during this Memorial Day weekend.  We give thanks to all who have given so freely and willingly to maintain the freedoms that we enjoy.  God be with all who have paid the ultimate price.  May we work to create a society and world where seeking peace and understanding are invested in as much as weapons and war, so that we could live in a time where such sacrifice is no longer needed.

St. Francis
Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there
is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is d
oubt, faith;
where there i
s despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
