Summer in New England has officially ended and Fall has already brought a new round of activity.

 

Our primary focus over the past month has been on pulling all the pieces together for our upcoming Cloud Channel Summit, on Monday, November 7, in Mountain View, CA. And, I think you'll be pleased with the results of our efforts.

 

The Cloud Computing movement is disrupting every aspect of the traditional technology and software worlds, including the way system functionality and business application capabilities are sold, delivered and supported. This disruption has been particularly acute in the 'channel', among traditional value-added resellers (VARs), integrators and other third-party service providers. The purpose of the Cloud Channel Summit is to examine these trends, identify new channel opportunities, and propose new business models for success in the Cloud.

Cloud Channel Summit Gaining Momentum

Salesforce.com's New Data Residency Option (DRO) Could Redefine Cloud Market

 

While most of the attention at Dreamforce was focused on the main theme of the Social Enterprise, Salesforce.com unveiled a new Data Residency Option (DRO) based on the unique encryption capabilities of a former THINKstrategies client that was recently acquired by Salesforce.com, Navajo Systems.

 

This new DRO capability could alleviate the lingering concern of many IT and business decision-makers about migrating their corporate data to the Cloud. If the DRO feature works as promised, it could remove the most important barrier to Cloud adoption and exponentially expand the addressable market for Cloud services.

Why Tracking Cloud User Behavior Is a 'Plus'
