Greetings!
Welcome to the March issue of our monthly newsletter. Last month was National American History Month and what better way to commemorate it than by taking time to swing a golf club to raise funds for our military veterans and their families. Local Minnesotans were able to do just that at this year's 2012 Minnesota Golf Show. Thanks to Hubbard Broacasting/1500 ESPN for their support in securing a booth for Tee it up for the Troops at the MN Golf Show held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on February 17-19th. They also provided the Optishot Challenge and some prizes to raise monies for our military veterans and their families. For a $5 donation individuals attending the Golf Show could take three swings using the Optishot equipment and software for a chance to win a prize by landing their golf ball on the green. Over the three day period Tee it up for the Troops raised $1,600. At the end of the weekend a drawing was held for the the grand prize which included an Optishot unit, software and a flat screen TV. The winner was Ian Skule of Richfield, MN. Thank you to all the volunteers and celebrities that volunteered their time to work at our booth during the Golf Show. 2012 PGA Merchandise Show
The 2012 PGA Merchandise Show was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL on January 26-28th. Tee it up for the Troops had a number of volunteers that attended the event to work at our booth as well as the Full Swing booth who hosted a fundraiser for Tee it up for the Troops during the show.

All participants attending the show could make a $5 donation to take 3 shots in the Full Swing Golf Simulator for a chance to win a prize. Several of our country's wounded warriors volunteered their time to work at the booth and challenge show participants to beat their best shot. Pictures from the event are shown below.

TIUFTT Board Member Gives Back
One of the newest additions to the Tee it up for the Troops Board of Directors is Paul Anderson. In February of this year he joined "Serving Our Troops" in Kuwait to serve steaks to the troops.
We currently have 2,700 MN National Guard (Red Bull) soldiers who are deployed to Kuwait and should be coming home in May with another successful Mission under their belt! We still have 500 MN National Guard Soldiers in Afghanistan at the moment as well as all our country's Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, and Sailors serving in forward operating bases throughout the world. We thank each and every one of them for all they do to protect us!
