John Randall Memorial Scholarship Recipient is Working Towards Her Degree

Jillie Irving worked for 3 years at Teen Services' No Name CafĂ© at Sonoma Valley High School and with the Lovin' Oven Events & Catering program. She received the John Randall Memorial Scholarship from Teen Services Sonoma upon graduation in 2015. She recently enrolled at Napa Valley Junior College for the 2016 Spring semester to take classes towards her AA degree with the goal of becoming a Chemical Dependency Counselor.

Jillie recently shared the following with us :
"I am so grateful for Teen Services Sonoma. They taught me how to be who I am and how to love who I am. They have changed my life in just so many ways. They awarded me a scholarship last year and as I am paying for school, I can't help but cry with how much help they have given me.  I have sooo much love for Cristin Felso,  Jodie Taylor, and Tracy Kitz  and just everyone there. Thank you sooo much for all your support with everything and anything. Teen Services Sonoma Rocks!!!"

She returned to Sonoma to work as a pastry chef at Crisp Bakeshop. We are so excited with the amount of talent and potential she brings to the Lovin' Oven!
      Niels Chew Honored

On November 11th, friends and family members of Niels Chew gathered at the Teen Services Sonoma building to dedicate a plaque on the property to remember Niels Chew and his countless contributions to serving teens over decades. The plaque inscription reminds teens and visitors that "his unwavering dedication, generosity, kindness and humility were gifts to teens".

Niels dedicated his life to standing beside those who needed him. His kind and gentle heart and selfless service has forever left an impact on Sonoma Valley.
