Many young people see contact with the justice system as anything but fun. The People's Law School, and their Justice Theatre, has changed that for 10,000 students across remote parts of B.C., the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Saskatchewan.
  
  
Grantee Stories: Advancing Social Justice for Women
  
Silmi Abdullah After completing her law degree Silmi Abdullah articled with the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence against Women and Children (METRAC). For their Community Justice Program, funded by the LFO, Silmi produced accessible legal information for women facing violence.

This is an opportunity to publicly acknowledge those who facilitate community participation in the legal system and make the justice system more accessible for everyone in Ontario. The nomination deadline is April 25.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP IN JUSTICE FELLOWSHIps 
 
Fellows take paid leave to share and expand their access to justice knowledge in an academic setting. The program is for senior employees of public interest organizations. Apply by May 16.
