Experience the Joy of Christ at The Well                         July 30, 2014
From Our Lead Pastor . . .

I am not too proud to admit that I have lately been obsessed with Vine, the video sharing mobile app.  Vine is a gateway to various ten-second looping videos about anything and everything one can imagine, for good or ill (Parents, ask you children's permission . . . or is it the other way around?).

We often talk about a three-minute elevator speech, but in today's quick-moving, Red Bull imbibed, always connected but never in touch culture, you might only get ten seconds.  So, how would you sum up your relationship with Christ in ten seconds?  Maybe you would say, "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me."  Maybe you would quote "For God so loved the world" (John 3:16) or Galatians 3:28 (We are all one in Christ) or maybe 2 Kings 2:23-24 is more your flavor.

My point is, why don't you take a risk and share your faith with someone?  I know, sharing a Vine is only ten seconds, but it might just be the first ten seconds of a new life . . .

See you Sunday if not before!

UPCOMING WORSHIP SERIES

At times we are called to be wise and courageous in putting our values into action, like the characters in the timeless novel To Kill a Mockingbird.  "The Mockingbird Parables," a four-week sermon series by Rev. Matt Rawle (inspired by Matt Litton's book of the same name), will illuminate the parallels between the Christian faith and To Kill a Mockingbird.  Join us as we examine the citizens of Macomb County in ways that compel us to reflect on our own lives.  Are we building community?  Are we influencing society for the better?  Join us Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 10:30, and check out our website calendar for a schedule of Mockingbird book clubs during the week!
