' It's About Inclusion': Omaha Man Adapts Toys for Children with Special Needs
Aaron Miller's toy-tinkering station takes up nearly a whole stall of his garage. When he gets a spare moment, Miller will alter those toys for children with special needs, children like his 8-year-old son, Evan.   "All of this started with Evan," Miller said.  "I wanted to give him something he could enjoy."  Now hundreds of Miller's adapted toys are spread across Nebraska, filling the shelves at United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska's seven Tech Tool Lending Libraries across the state.   Read More

United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska provides seven Tech Tools developmental libraries

FUNDRAISING...
Thousands Putt for Charity  
T his years Barstool Open brought thousands out to downtown Lincoln and Omaha to putt for a cause. 57 small businesses' participated in this years event that raised $80,000 for United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska.   One golfer who has been participating on and off, for the past 10 years said it best, "It's a lot of fun, and it's for a great cause. You can tell everyone is having a really great time!"  2017 marked the 20th Anniversary for the Barstool Open in Lincoln! Thank you to our sponsors K & Z Distributing 104-1 The Blaze  and to Shirts 101   for helping us celebrate this special milestone.

Race For Cerebral Palsy
Despite the rainy weather, this 5K/10K still raised over $2,000 for our organization. We thank all those who supported the event either through planning, sponsoring or registering! A special thanks to Creighton School of Medicine's Surgery Club for all your hard work! We appreciate you!
"Walk in our Shoes" Raises Awareness
T he weather was a little different farther west, it was a great sunny day of awareness on March 25, in North Platte, Nebraska.  This day of awareness for cerebral palsy raised $2,720.00!   Learn More

COLLABORATION FOR IMPACT ...
United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska and Creighton University's Student Empowerment Network   presented the annual closed home tour (Adaptive Parade Of Homes) for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Pharmacy students on April 7th.  The tour consisted of four homes focusing on accessible remodeling and new construction with both accessible and universal design features. Over 200 people came to Urban Abbey in downtown Omaha on April 20th to be inspired by photographs that depict stories despite a person's disabilities. This unique gallery experience called, NEBRASK-ABILITY was presented by

Throughout this amazing day of giving, United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska will be sharing our participant stories and information about our programs.  Every donation made to UCP of Nebraska on this day helps support people living with cerebral palsy and similar disorders to Live a Life Without Limits! 

You can schedule your donation starting May 1st or donate on May 24th to increase our chances for additional funds.

A Barstool Open with a Twist
The Lincoln Saltdogs bring you a one of a kind event that will feature the same Barstool Open feel with a unique twist!

Teams of (2-4 people) will play rounds of miniature golf in their concourse area with a large number of fun obstacles for your enjoyment.  Registration includes the baseball game, rounds of putt-putt, and t-shirts for all team players.  This event includes $1 Beers, $1 Hot dogs, $1 Popcorn and tons of prizes and giveaways!  Click  Here for more information or to register.
