This Sunday, June 17th, and continuing through August 26th, our Sunday morning Worship Celebrations will be held at 9:00 am in the Outdoor Sanctuary of the Utica United Methodist Church, weather permitting.

Summer Lunch Program
|
Parents, you will not need to fix lunch for your children on weekdays this Summer!
The Salvation Army, with the assistance of our community churches, is sponsoring lunch at Miller Park at 12:00 each week day, June 4th through August 12th. Our church is in charge of June 18--22 and July 30--August 3. Please let the Mission Committee know if you are interested in helping with this great mission project for our community.

Thursday Morning Bible Study
|
No Bible Study this Thursday, June 14th, but the studies will resume next Thursday, June 21st.

Twelve Months of Giving
|
|
The Events Committee would like to begin Twelve Month of Giving. We are continuing to sponsor and collect items for Utica's food pantry. Each month the pantry lets us know what is most needed. Please place the items in the bin upstairs or downstairs by the door. We will collect your donations at the church and deliver them to the pantry.
Items Needed for the Month of June
Canned Pasta (such as Spaghetti, SpaghettiOs, Ravioli)
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16

Rummage Sale
|
This coming Saturday, June 16th, beginning at 9:00 am, Utica UMC will hold its annual rummage sale in conjunction with the Community Yard Sale being held that day. Beginning Sunday, June 10th, following our morning worship celebration through Friday, June 15th, Wesley Hall is reserved for the collection and sorting of our donations to be sold. Please bring your no longer wanted items to the church and drop them off in Wesley Hall this week. Hours the church will be open for your donations are as follows:
Daytimes: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Evenings: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Vacation Bible School
|
 Our Vacation Bible School dates (July 9th through July 13th) are fast approaching and we have a full-court press going to pre-register children for this mid-Summer activity. Please let your friends and neighbors know about this quality program so they can enroll their kids now and help us in any other manner in which you are able.

Can You Help?
|
We are looking for healthy recipes. If you have any in your collection, please email them to the church office or bring them into the office so we can make a copy. The office is open from 10 am to 2 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

To everyone who brought snacks and goodies to the church last week which we distributed to Utica's Finest, including police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical personnel. The amount of food we gathered was astonishing and greatly appreciated.

Summer Focused Prayer Challenge
Praying for those that do not know Jesus should be a priority for all Christians. I challenge you to make a list of 3-5 people that you know are far from God--family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and so on. Pray for God to prepare their hearts and yours for an everyday, gospel conversation. God doesn't want anyone to perish!
The prayer could be something simple like this:
"Father, please soften ______________'s heart. Cause them to be hungry for you. Draw them to you. Open their eyes to the good plans you have for them. Help me be a light to show them the way."
Sow the seed of prayer and see what God will do!
