We Need Your Help! Breast Cancer is More than a Pink Ribbon
To commemorate VBCF's 25th Anniversary this year, we are creating a More than a Pink Ribbon “virtual quilt” − appropriate for the 21st century, yet honoring our roots.

This “More than a Pink Ribbon” quilt will be a unique piece of art that highlights the names and faces in the fight against breast cancer.  For a small donation, supporters can upload a photo or submit text to be included on a special quilt square.

Quilt squares can:

  • Honor a loved one diagnosed with breast cancer;
  • Memorialize a loved one who lost their fight with breast cancer;
  • Commemorate a personal survivorship journey; and/or
  • Express your general support for the fight against breast cancer.

Each quilt square will also link to a space where personal stories can be added and where family and friends can leave comments.

Southampton High School located in Courtland Virginia, hosts an annual "Dig Pink" volleyball game during the month of October to raise awareness for breast cancer.  The Girls Volleyball JV & Varsity teams decided to raise money, in addition to raising awareness. The team collected a total of $2,323.50 to be donated to VBCF.
VBCF was thrilled to receive a generous end of year gift from Mechanicsville Toyota.  The dealership donated a percentage of their service and car sales and added additional contributions on top of that. Thank you!
