Getting To Know Your 2016 Chamber Board President

What an honor it is to serve as your President for 2016.  Your Board of Directors has been working hard since last year preparing for an exciting and productive year while continuing to improve the quality of life for Vicksburg-Warren County.   Last week, a large contingency of community leaders met in Washington DC for the annual visit with our legislators.  We're working with the Vicksburg Warren School District on the Ford Next Generation Learning initiative and we are excited to learn about the "Work Ready Certified Community" program to present our work force in a positive light to potential businesses looking to move into the area.  Stephen Covey said:  "Synergy is what happens when one plus one equals ten or a hundred or even a thousand!! It's the profound result when two or more respectful human beings determine to go beyond their preconceived ideas to meet a great challenge."  WE are those respectful human beings and we will go beyond our preconceived ideas to meet great challenges.

Thank you for your continued support and my door is always open for your ideas and suggestions.

p.s.  Don't forget to go see "Mary Poppins" at the Parkside Playhouse  February  18-21.  And, have a " Supercalifragilisticexpialidoc ious" day.
