YAY MAY!
Always such a happy month... Warm days, flowers blooming, the arrival of Summer Six Packs on Memorial Day weekend at WSWH, kids counting the days until the end of school, sunflower seeds and baseballs rolling around in my car, uncorking that bottle at 2:00 in the afternoon rather than waiting until dark.{ WHO DOES THAT????}

This May is a little different for us because we'll be losing yet another of our fantastic and much appreciated Wine House employees.
We're so happy for Miss Megan as she heads back to Florida to live amongst all The Princesses & Mickey.  Since she arrived on our doorstep 4 years ago, fresh off her first stint at Disney, she's been longing to go back.  Can't blame her {except for the part about all those screaming kids running around crying cuz they didn't get to meet Cinderella} other than that small detail, I'm all for Disney.
Anyway, she's accepted a professional internship and we are so happy for her {except for the part about her not being HERE to be my right arm} other than that small detail, I'm all for Disney.
She's been a great addition to the WSWH crew, and more than that, she's become part of the family.  She will be greatly missed and we do hope you get a chance to stop in to wish her well on this next part of her journey thru life.  We'll send her off with lots of wine ~
She's gonna need it after long days with all those screaming kids!!!

MOTHER'S DAY
is May 14th ~ DON'T FORGET!

These fusion glass plates are so pretty but you must see them in person to truly appreciate.  We've had them before and decided to bring 'em back as they make a great gift for those who like wine and 'wine decor'.

These are 'wine socks'... which is just a silly name for a cute 'bag' to put a bottle of wine in when you want to gift it to someone!  Super cute...   What else could you use it for besides a bottle of wine?!?  Hmmm...

The frog with the hat and purse reminds me of my grandma.... not the frog part, but the hat and the purse.  Any of you frog lovers out there need to check these chicks out.  They'll put a smile on your face for sure!

OH, SO MUCH BETTER,
NO?!?!

As I said last month, one of the things on my 'to do' list was to change up the area where all of the metal signs were hanging...  and I DID IT!  It's a little brighter and makes me smile when I stand here and look at it.  Lots of new napkins and some other bright & fun things that you may not be able to live without!

MISC. NEW STUFF

New wine themed towels, pot holders, signs...
The challenge continues as I try to make room for it all...
It's kinda fun  though!

T hese are ceramic coasters that are nested in a cork frame so they can be used as a trivet, or 4 individual coaster!

We miss ya already Meg...
That Mickey is one lucky mouse!!

MR. & MRS.

SO much stuff for the happy couple... including wine ~ which really is the best gift of all ~ 'cause, ya know, eventually the 'honeymoon will be over' and it won't always be sunshine and rainbows once real life sets in.  They're gonna need some wine!

GRADUATION TIME
A custom labeled bottle for the college graduate makes a unique gift!  We can customize a label with their name, their degree, their school logo....
Really, anything is possible!

And with 'tablescapes' and candy buffets, how about custom labeled bottles with the school  logo and graduate's name?  NOT that the guest of honor will be consuming the wine, nor their underage friends, but it will make a really nice presentation for those wine drinking guests at your party!
Just a few things to consider!

In looking back through the newsletters I've written, the site shows 50 of them...
Holy Moly, that's a lot of newsletters.  Four years plus 2 months worth of my babbling!  I hope I haven't gotten too redundant or repeat old news too often, though I'm certain it's bound to happen!  Thanks for sticking with us!  We're still lovin' what we do here on Washington Street and so happy that you're still enjoying the wine!
Cheers,

The WASHINGTON STREET WINE HOUSE Crew
