MSN 6000 Students Give Final Presentations

Three MSN students presented end-of-program activities Tuesday, December 4 during the NURN 5050 Policy and Politics class. Cheryl Belcher, completing NURN 6000 Integrated Studies in Nursing presented key findings examined in her paper: The Transformational Leader-Characteristics and Influence. Two other Leader Focus students, Jennifer Fitzpatrick and Regina Davis, shared posters of their projects completed with Nurse Leaders in the metropolitan area over the last two terms. Webster KC MAT and MA Education Students and Alumni Invited to Teacher Recruiting Fair 

Looking for a new teaching position? We have invited representatives from public, private and charter schools in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area to our Teacher Recruiting Fair, Friday, March 8, 3:30pm-5:30pm. The following schools have already confirmed their participation:

Kansas City Missouri Public Schools, Kansas City Kansas School District, Center School District and Lee's Summit School District. Additional schools will be added to the list!

Information Sessions and Campus Tours for Prospective Students Schedule Twice Monthly 

Upcoming Information Sessions and Campus Tours for prospective students are Tuesday, February 19, Saturday, March 2, Tuesday, March 19 and a special Military Friendly Information Session on Saturday, April 6. All active duty, reserves, veterans and retired military are welcome!

Information Sessions are held twice monthly on the first Saturday and third Tuesday. Saturday sessions are from  9:30-11:30am and Tuesday sessions are from 4:30-6:30 pm.

Application fees will be waived at all the Information Sessions! Webster students and alumni who refer a new student will receive a $50 Visa Awards card! RSVP at 816-444-1000 or www.webster.edu/kc.

Whether you're a current Webster University student or an alumnus, if you refer a student who enrolls and registers for classes at Webster University, we want to show our thanks by rewarding you with a $50 Visa award card.

Help Feed Hungry Children with Harvesters "Go for the Green" Food Drive 

Harvester's annual "Go for the Green" Food Drive begins Monday, February 11!  The school that raises the most meals wins a Go for the Green Trophy, a FREE entry into the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade and a chance to host the 2014 Go for the Green Kick-Off Party!  

Bring canned food to our barrels, one in the lobby and one upstairs, between Monday, February 11 and Thursday, March 14!

Congratulations to:

Faculty member Sandra Campbell, who, after three years of intensive and dedicated study, successfully completed course work and graduated from the Unity Urban Ministerial School in Detroit, where she graduated in May 2012. As part of the licensing and ordination requirements, Sandra is currently in an internship at Unity Temple on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO. She will be ordained on May 3, 2013. The Urban School in Detroit is an affiliate of Unity Worldwide Ministries headquartered in Lee's Summit, MO. Sandra is a member of the first class of the Urban School's online ministerial program.

Sandra explains, "The goal of Unity's centers of study established throughout the world is to serve those who seek inspiration and prayer support." More information can be found at www.unityurbanministerialschool.org 

LIFT-MO coordinator, Phyllis Harris, who leaves our campus to pursue consulting opportunities in the areas of literacy and parent involvement. Phyllis served LIFT-MO and PIRC for 12 years. We will miss seeing you every day Phyllis. We wish you well!
