Chicago Police Officer Applications and Exam
Dear Neighbors,

On Saturday, November 13, Mayor Daley, myself and many others cut the ribbon and celebrated the Grand Opening of the new 23rd District Police Station. I hope you got an opportunity to see this new state-of-the-art facility. We took a tour and I even got fingerprinted. Click here to see photos from the Grand Opening event!

Street Cleaning in the 44th Ward will be complete for the year this Friday, November 19. You can continue to help prevent flooding and freezing by making sure the sewer drain covers are free of debris and by raking and bagging additional leaves.

I am very pleased to announce that Weisman Park's renovation will soon be complete. Weisman will be open to the public again on November 24th. We will be holding a grand opening and press event sometime in the Spring so we can show off all of this park's great new features in the warmer weather.

The Rink at Wrigley will be making a triumphant return this year to the corner of Clark and Waveland. I know this will help our local businesses and keep our neighborhood a top destination for families in the City. I want to thank the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Park District, Central Lakeview Merchants Association and the Lake View Citizens' Council for their generosity in returning the rink to our community. You can read more details later in this newsletter.

Our office will be closed from November 25 - November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We will re-open on Monday, November 29th.

Sincerely,

Alderman Tom Tunney
