.........art, soap, magic, and meditation....it's all here!
Wishes of a happy and healthy 2016 to all of our friends. We are happy and excited to bring in the New Year with our January exhibit:

"The Alchemist"

Please join us for Third Friday
January 15th from 6-10 p.m.
for our fabulous exhibit
and book discussion.

Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist," a fable about following your dreams, and the mysteries and paradoxes of life, is the inspiration behind this exhibit.  The messages are a beautiful way to begin a new year.  Read it now, before the show!

"The Road to Ceboruco"
 by Karen Schuman

"There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning."

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

Lemongrass and goat's milk mix alchemically with colors to create a sublime soap experience to enhance your day.

We still have plenty of our other favorites available:

"Ocean Lotion" - honeysuckle or rose fragranced balm encased in an embellished seashell to be functional and to look pretty on your countertop.  A wonderful and affordable gift.

"Bright-Eyed Punkin' Soap" with pumpkin- spiced coffee grounds for exfoliating and waking up, carrot juice to balance your skin's pH, and luxurious oils all blend together in a velvety cream lather.

" Heavy Nettle soap gently cleans your delicate skin of that black make-up and that one night stand.  Hemp milk and hemp hearts scrub you up and keep the party going.

"Lavender and Lemongrass Goat Milk Soap," for lovers of elegance.  Our goat milk comes from a humane goat co-op located right in the west side of Chicago.  Goats are lovingly raised by their owner, Caroline, and hand-milked by the co-op members, who stay and play with them afterwards.

Directional Work - North:  The Mythic Journey
March 19th - 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
Begin or continue walking the Medicine Wheel as we stand in the direction and energies of the North.   The North is the place of images, music, poetry, art, and dreams; where the Soul sees itself on a Sacred Journey.    Ceremony and ritual is the portal.  When we don't see our life as a sacred journey, it becomes mired in intellect. Learn to choreograph your journey with the beneficent energies of the earth.

Class starts at 10 a.m. with snacks, lunch, and dinner break, and a lovely fire ceremony to seal the work. End time will be around 9:30 p.m.  Classes will be held indoors with some outdoor work (rain or shine, be prepared) in the beautiful gardens of the House of Deer & Dragons.  Please bring three stones to use for the work. Overnight accommodations are available for any wishing to arrive on Friday evening or depart Sunday morning.  Bring a swimsuit/towel if you want to enjoy our spa.

Class fee:  $60 - includes breakfast snacks, lunch, and dinner.

Please register by phone or email to Karen Schuman at 708.601.7497 or DancingKrow@aol.com with your name and contact information.  Cash or check payment is due at beginning of class.  Advance payment by mail to:  Karen Schuman, 21 Chicory Lane, Riverwoods, IL  60015.
