QUICK LINKS

This has been such a beautifully WARM summer! I've enjoyed many afternoons and evenings lounging poolside. Of course, I NEVER go into the water!

I must confess, though, I can't resist going on the diving board. Just another kind of "cat walk!"

Drivers' Education at Sonoma Raceway on October 28-29 (in conjuction with NASA)

Hello Drivers!

Once again, GGR has been invited to participate in a Porsche only run group as guests of NASA. This will be the final time some of us are together for a Driver's Education event in 2017. This event will be at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA.

This event offers generous track time - four 20 minute run sessions each day. The special run group is open to Porsches with experienced drivers only. It will follow NASA rules for it's HPDE 3 group which is similar to GGR's Blue group. Passing zones will be limited initially but will be expanded as the days progress. This is for experienced drivers only; in car instruction will not be available.

This is an HPDE event. It is not intended for race drivers wanting extra track time in race cars. Click on the link below to register.

Although this special invitation to join this HPDE run group is extended to Porsche cars, this event is a NASA event. It is not a PCA or PCA GGR event It is covered by NASA's rules and insurance, not PCA's or PCA GGR's

Proposal to Change Drivers' Education Rules

Over the past few years PCA GGR has eliminated the Time Trial Series and instead concentrated on HPDE (High Performance Driver's Education). As newer cars are acquired by our members, and as timing equipment like Harry's lap timer becomes more prevalent, there is less demand for the Time trial series.  As a[...]...More»
