Moab Library Comic Con!!!         

Saturday, May 6
10 AM - 4 PM

Free, fun, family event celebrating fandom and all things comic con!!

This year we've got a Tolkien expert, members of the 501st Alpine Garrison (Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, and more from the Dark Side!), and the amazing costume experts Shadowfall Workshop.

You can also participate in the costume contest, win door prizes, and visit with local authors, artists, and comic enthusiasts.

Castle Valley Lecture: Utah Noxious Weeds  
 
Thursday, May 4, 7:00 PM
Castle Valley Library

Tim Higgs, County Weed Control Supervisor, will explain what noxious weeds are and the negative effects they can have on the environment.  Learn which noxious weeds are in your area and what you can do to help stop their spread.

Sustainable Communities Panel Discussion: Solar Energy

Panel discussion will focus on the fundamentals of solar energy.  Local solar experts will discuss the basics of solar and answer policy questions.  Presented in partnership with Community Rebuilds.

Ove, an ill-tempered, isolated retiree, develops an unlikely friendship with his boisterous new neighbors.  Based on the novel by Fredrik Backman.  The film is 116 minutes long and rated PG-13.

Presented in Swedish with English subtitles.
Nominated: Best Foreign Language Film - 2017 Academy Awards.

Summer Reading for Adults & Teens!

Join the library and the Resiliency Hub for a fun and hands-on morning creating shelter for native bees.  Learn how to build better habitat for our native pollinators using locally available materials.  Participants will create their own bee shelter to take home.  For all the details please visit the library's event calendar

Library Closure      

The library will close at 5pm Wednesday, May 17 - Friday, May 19 so that library staff may attend the Utah Library Association Conference.

The library will be closed Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.
