Creativity Arts & Crafts Fair
November 15 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Invite your friends to shop for unique holiday gifts, or maybe pick up something fun for yourself. Over 30 vendors will join us for our 2nd Annual Creativity Arts and Crafts Show at the Jewish Federation. Chose from a variety of arts and crafts including glass art, jewelry, wood work, paper crafts, used books, decor, toys, Judaic gifts and so much more! SaBaBaH & NCSY Food Drive
November 15, 2015

SaBaBaH and NCSY will be joining together on November 15 to help feed our community. You can help by dropping off non-perishable food items, bathroom and kitchen paper products, personal care items, laundry detergent, and Marathon or Meijer gift cards at the Jewish Federation prior to November 15. SaBaBaH & NCSY youth will sort and stock all donated items. Kosher items will be placed in the Kosher Food Pantry at the Jewish Federation for use within our community, and non Kosher items will be donated to a local food pantry.

Thanksgiving Holiday Lunch

Join us for our Thanksgiving Holiday Lunch. We'll be serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal with entertainment provided by pianist Helen Pollak. Cost for this Kosher meat meal is $7.50 and a reservation is requested to help us with food preparation. Rabbi Shalom Hammer

Join our community as we welcome Rabbi Shalom Hammer, senior lecturer for the Jewish Identity Branch of the IDF, contributing editor for the Jerusalem Post, and founder and director of Makom Meshutaf, an organization which advocates tolerance and unity between religious and secular Jews in Israel through educational programs.

This program is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley, Midwest Torah Center, Sinai Synagogue, Temple Beth-El and Temple B'nai Shalom. All are welcome to join us as we learn about this challenge within Jewish communities world wide. 

Annual Yom I'yyun
Last Will and Embezzlement: Financial Elder Abuse
Sunday, November 22 from 9:30 - 1:30

Join us for our annual day of learning presented by Jewish Family Services. Kathleen Murphy, Community Relations Manager at Grand Emerald Place and Malana Maher, Care Coordinator at Always Best Care Senior Services, will share with us the documentary Last Will and Embezzlement.  They will then lead a panel discussion on Financial Elder Abuse. The panel will include a trust officer from TCU, an elder attorney, two individuals from Northern Indiana Alzheimer and Dementia Services, and a representative from Adult Protective Services.  We will end our program by welcoming three of our community's Rabbis to share their insights on the topic of Financial Elder Abuse, and what Jewish teachings say on the matter.

RSVPs are requested and a light breakfast and kosher diary lunch will be served.
